Give thanks to God for your family, friends and prosperity

Some of us may have money and power. But, that does not bring happiness and joy in our lives. What brings love, joy and happiness are family, friends and a sense and feeling of prosperity. I’ve observed in many instances in our materialistic world, that when we are constantly wanting and desiring materialistic things, ego fulfillment, many of us put God or divine spirit in the backdrop. Instead we should give thanks to God by praying for having family, friends and being prosperous. We can sense deep down a feeling and a sense of security when we experience love from our family and friends. For some reason or other, when we “feel secured and comfortably prosperous”, God the spirit is not recognized or hidden in the background.

Time to time, I collect canned food for the homeless people at homeless shelters. Also, very poor people come to the shelter to collect canned food and bread in a bag for their families. I look at their faces. They are happy to get food in the bag for their families. I pray that these poor people better their lives. The homeless people in the shelters are getting help from the contributors and donors. The shelter managers constantly ask for donations for money, to keep these shelters open. And in Las Vegas, the city of lights, there is lack and prosperity. Amongst prosperous casinos with so much wealth, that can be seen from the shelters, there is homelessness. God will guide the angels to help and guide the homeless, and that is through ones awareness and enlightenment from within.

I thank God for what I have and with gratitude. A wonderful wife, shelter and food, friends, my sons and grand children, wonderful health. For me inner peace, harmony, and a sense of well-being is important. I encourage rejoicing, kindness and caring for each other. We are in this world to experience our created heaven on this earth. I encourage praying and meditation, communicating with God and listening to our inner voice from within. Feel God’s blessings.

Take action Now

Do you ever wonder, where did the time go and feel guilty not doing it or not take action. Each one of us are blessed and created with a free will and ability to make choices/decisions in life. God is in each and every individual in this world. We are an expression of God through each one of us. Any person can be of any religion or belief system or spiritual, and God resides in each one of us.So what keeps many of us not taking action to fulfill our desires which will benefit in many ways? It’s the learned human ego, be it fear, procrastination, negligence, or complaining not having enough time or resources.

We must develop confidence in us to take action. Also, prayer is helpful in conjunction with meditation. Belief in God (or Lord, Higher Power, Energy, Jesus Christ, etc) is very helpful. Just do it. I recall I needed to change job while working in the corporate world. I was not sure of myself. Plus, I was not going deep into myself in prayer back then. I kept asking my peer friends “what would they do in my circumstances”? It further confused me with their answers, because of information overload. Most of them were supportive. Pray and find answers. Prayer is communicating with God and meditation is listening to God.

Finally, I decided to go on a “gut feeling”. Gut feeling is intuition. Trust your intuition. God communicates from within. I meditated on it. When we to take action now, we seize the moment and make a difference in our life. Also, people around us want to ask us for guidance how we did it and what made us adventurous and successful. Don’t forget, we are in this world to learn and grow. We are ministers to each other and share. There are so many decisions to take action in our life to make. Health, prosperity, spiritual growth, love in our relationships, traveling, changing jobs or going into business, or just being a seeker.

Prosperity is yours for asking

When we talk about prosperity, somehow we equate with money and wealth. Prosperity can be equated as succeeding in health, relationships, spiritual growth, career growth and business growth,  as well as personal finances. Gods plan for you and me is to live and share joy, happiness, love, healing and help/support those that need our help to better themselves. Ofcourse many societies including ours have, “haves” and “have-nots”. We’ll have to work towards making heaven on earth. That means, we work and take action to help ourselves for bettering the creation of our communities to live joyfully, happily and peacefully. When we set boundaries in our aspirations for betterment, we neglect our God-given creativity and we are faced with lack or develop selfishness towards what we possess.

A good habit to experience prosperity in all aspects of our daily life is prayer and meditation. Ever talk to God (or Lord, Jesus, Infinite Intelligence, Divine spirit, etc) in the form of prayer? Yes God listens. And God communicates to us, when we are quite or in meditation. Listen to the vibes, the inner communication. I recall back in 1997, I wanted to ride the Indian rails in all different directions, and at the same time make it a form of pilgrimage to visit Hindu and Buddhist temples, Christian churches, Mosques, gurdwara’s (Sikh temples),  etc. I also had this greater urge to talk to Hindu Holy men, who are known as Sadhu’s, who wander around and are practicing spirituality and non-materialistic.

I talked to several Holy men on a 10 week pilgrimage in India, crisscrossing the Indian sub-continent. I left a project temporary job in Los Angeles area, to take up such a trip. Something was telling me inside of my heart to go to India for a pilgrimage. At that time, my future wife Denise, encouraged me to take the trip. I was excited and didn’t want to pass up the opportunity. So, prosperity comes in all forms. When I took at the pilgrimage trip by trains in India, I was healthy and strong, and able to withstand sleeping on trains several nights in a span of 10 weeks. God has blessed me in several ways, and I give thanks and praise for it.

Are you listening to your inner voice?

Listening words  We keep trudging along in everyday walk of life. We have needs, desires, wants and want to fulfill our motives. We want joy, fulfillment, inner contentment, compassion, peace and harmony within ourselves and with others. We pray, meditate and ask God (or the infinite, Higher Source, Lord, Jesus Christ, etc) for financial prosperity, excellent health and great relationships. Pretty soon we discover that the answers are within, not “out there”. Are you open to listening from within? Your vibes, your vibrations, “your gut”, your intuition? Do you trust your inner instincts, which is God communicating with you?

Listen to genie within  From my own experience over the years, I let opportunities in jobs, learning another profession, even romantic relationships pass by (I am married to Denise now). Didn’t listen to my inner voice, but kept on moving doing “same old” things or same old routine with expectations. Than comes a time to seriously make a commitment to change and make a decision to change and accept opportunities what life has to offer me. I went through inner probing via meditation and talking to couple of trusted friends.

Listen to God - Stop and look   In a way, we must be “ready” to jump in or take risks to step in.  I’ve witnessed several singles in relationships delaying marriage because of waiting for a “right” partner to come through or questioning and doubting whether the relationships they are in, is the right one? This boils down to inner trust and not clear what their heart and mind says. In this instance, it’s a good idea to sit down in prayer and meditation and ask God for guidance.

If you are not sure of the feedback on the concerned issues from within, talk to a trusted friend or couple friends. Make sure these friends have a positive outlook on life and they themselves are confident, and encouraging. You are still the decision maker to choose all the choices you have at your disposal. Prayer and meditation is a great relaxer and brings inner harmony and answers.

Listen to the inner voice So, listen from within. Listen to what your instincts and gut tells you of what you seek and desire to experience. Communicate to God via prayer and meditation. Be open for answers that are revealed to you. Follow up with the clues. Try not to be wishy-washy with the answers. Check it out. The God who created the universe is loving and friendly for you to pursue your journey for your fulfillment, joy, compassion, love, kindness, peace and understanding.

We are instruments of God to assist others

Welding booth Today I visited a welding vocational training area for boys and girls in Las Vegas, who want to learn a trade while still in high school. The director of this place is Peter. Peter formerly worked as a civil engineer and now helps out his wife as a vocational director. His wife is in charge of behavioral health/mental health clients. This is a community based service type of environment. Peter said the students who are learning welding are from broken homes or from very poor households or cleaned up from drugs. The training is for 3 months, 3 hours per day after school. But most students finish the program in 6 months or so. Peter says many young students have difficult time concentrating.

Welding with Josh - 1 Peter hired a welding instructor, and his name is Josh. Josh enjoys teaching the students how to weld. Josh is very dedicated in teaching welding and is highly motivated young man. It seems some students go on to find jobs as welders, making good income to support their families. Peter gave me good tour of the welding booths and equipment. He is motivated to help others, so that they can help themselves. There is no charge to learn welding. Peter said they also want to expand to industrial sewing. Sew car seats, industrial gloves etc. In fact he is looking for an industrial sewing instructor. (In picture is Josh, the welding instructor).

Welding with Josh - 2 I met Peter’s wife Eudora, and she co-ordinates services for behavioral health and mental health clients through other health care service providers. She is also highly dedicated to helping women or even men with mental and psychological problems. Most of their mental and psychological clients are women, and they have very high serious problems, such as going through domestic violence, drug addict, and other behavior problems. Peter and his wife are doing great service in their communities to better other peoples lives, and help bring joy, happiness, peace of mind and a sense of well-being. They are an instrument of God in action. I congratulated them for their service in the community. We are all instruments of God to help each other. We are vessels where others learn and we learn. (in picture is Josh, the welding instructor).
