My wife Denise Michaels and I will be attending the confirmation ceremony on Saturday 4/21 in Southern California for Rudy, our step grandson. We seen him grow since he was 4 year old and growing up in Southern California living with mom and step father. My son is his step dad. My son and his family are a devout Catholics. Confirmation is a sense of belonging and bonding with church and parish. My daughter in-law told me, there will be 90 teens going through confirmation at the Catholic church and standing room only, because of families and guests. Rudy can only have 8 “guests” at the church, because of overwhelming parents and relatives in attendance. After the confirmation we will probably go to a local restaurant for celebration. Denise and I already picked up a card and enclosed a gift.
In 3 weeks, we will again drive to Southern California for our grand daughter Angelica’s first communion at the same Catholic church. She is 8 years old. More later!
